Don't get me wrong, I like this app and I am not going to trash or give it a poor rating or review however, I just finished looking at another product called MyStuff. My issues, if any, is whether I purchased the right product or not. Also, I will spare you of any sort of tech speak or terminology that may baffle most people. I just purchased this product and I must admit - I'm impressed! I will spare all of you the usual posting lingo, "ease of use, great layout, wow, handy app" etc. Use your scanner to add photos and receiptsMy first post on macupdate, wow, I deserve a cookie. Finally, I like the FileFinder Palette. You will have to see it for yourself. My explanation will not give it justice. Also, I like the warranty manager and how it allows a user to view a progressive timeline, not text, of a product's warranty end-date. Perhaps Home Inventory does this and I've missed it, but as of now I haven't been able to locate this feature. Top screen part for mac mid 2012Thanks!First, I'd like to address the comment I made in my original review regarding the developer not replying to my email. 4.5 Stars, but will still test drive MyStuff. I like the product, and I'm keeping my fingers crossed that they will continue to improve on an already great product. My hope, my hope is that Binary Formations (Home Inventory) makes the improvements I've mentioned above. There's no going back however, so will Minder Software (MyStuff). I would highly recommend v2.0 of Home Inventory. For functionality I would give this a higher rating, but it falls short in several areas, plus the developer simply does not reply to support email. I am very impressed with someone who has these goals in a small business and puts them ahead of greed. And from having chatted with the developer in email I can assure you he honesty cares about his application and wants to ensure it is the very best in it's class. Insurance adjusters have some wiggle room when you're sitting across the desk from them, and if you have all your receipts, a set of pictures, descriptions of each item taken and where it was in your house, or office.you're in a much better bargaining position than without these things. There is not another app.not one.that even comes close to what I see in version 2.0 of Home Inventory. As a home burglary victim (nearly $30K in unrecoverable jewelry.without insurance riders) I can't begin to tell you how important an app like Home Inventory is. He said he simply didn't receive my email and I sincerely believe him.More importantly, I've had some time to look over version 2.0 of Home Inventory and I'm VERY impressed! Not only has the developer addressed all my issues with the app, he's addressed some I hadn't even thought of. ![]() ![]() ![]()
